Police Officer's Memorial Day
Posted by admin on 28th May 2015
Today, May 15th 2013, is Police Officerâs Memorial Day. Although it is not a federal holiday, many police departments hold ceremonies to honor those killed in the line of duty. Also, President Obama has directed that all flags be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset.
About 140-160 officers are killed every year; leaving behind families, friends, and coworkers. Today is designated to pay tribute and remember all of the law enforcement officers who lost their lives serving the public. By: Ashlee O'Donnell
